Television Commercials Can Be Master Manipulators |

The media has a big impact on the human mind. All of us come into
contact with many forms of media on a daily basis. For instance, we can
watch hundreds of television commercials every day. These television
commercials can influence and convince us to buying or believing in
something. To be honest, I can be easily convinced by all the food ads
I see on television.
Good commercials can be very intriguing and convincing. They can make people crave certain things. A perfect example is the many pizza commercials that are being displayed on television. These commercials can make us hungry and can tempt us to order a pizza right away. Some people just can’t help themselves because they love pizza.
Television commercials pitch a certain product, and usually make it seem the best product in the market. Advertisers have to persuade us to purchase a certain product so that they can earn more cash. You should try to keep your young children on track when it comes to television commercials. Young children are very impressionable and will believe what the ads say, especially when it comes to toys.
We all know that television commercials can totally beef up toys. The can make your children believe the toy can do incredible and outstanding things. After a few weeks your child can come into the realization that the toy they received is just a chunk of plastic. This can be really disappointing if you are a child. I can still recall the time I was duped into purchasing Thunder Cats action figures. I actually believed that those toys were literally going to fight and attack one another.
There are also some great ads in the world of television commercials. Once in a while, a current ad can catch your attention or tickle your funny bone. However, the lame ones can drive many people insane. Those ridiculous infomercials are a good example. Infomercials will rant on and on about working from home and pulling in six figures. I think that these redundant television commercials should be discarded in the near future.
